This video is part of a series on the currency of Dubrovnik, where in each video we present one coin of the Republic of Dubrovnik. The silver ducat is an example of a larger Dubrovnik silver coin with a nominal value of 40 dinars or dinarići. The designers of this coin were Ivo Karlo Angeli and Antun Obad. The obverse of the coin features the image of Saint Blaise in episcopal vestments and the inscription: TUIS A DEO AUSPICIIS. On the reverse is the large ornamented coat of arms of the Republic of Dubrovnik and the inscription: DUCAT REIP RHAGUSINE.
