A new chapter has been published on the NumizmatikaNET portal as part of the „Numismatics Guide” project, intended for everyone who wants to systematically learn the basics of numismatics, as well as expand their existing knowledge. The new, fifth chapter is titled „Basic Characteristics of Coins and Banknotes” and details the fundamental features of metallic and paper money.
Detailed observation of the 5, 20, and 50 kuna banknotes leads to interesting discoveries. Namely, the microtext printed on the obverse of the banknotes repeatedly repeats one and the same text, but upon careful reading of that text, we find grammatical errors.
