The Military Order of the Iron Trefoil, 4th Class, was a decoration of the Independent State of Croatia (1941–1945) and held the 22nd position in the order of precedence. It was awarded to domestic and foreign military personnel for wartime deeds achieved through personal initiative, dedication, and calculated leadership in operations that achieved special success against the enemy. It was awarded in a small number of instances, only 577 times. Today, this decoration is quite popular and sought-after in phaleristic collector circles, especially those interested in the World War II period. In this video, we present an overview of the decoration; technical data and description, along with a brief history of the trefoil symbol, which is the main motif of this decoration.
