In today's video, we are presenting a banknote from the “Informbiro series” – the 5000 Dinars 1950. This is an unissued banknote belonging to a reserve series of banknotes typically used in extraordinary circumstances such as war. The name “Informbiro series” stems from the political circumstances in which Yugoslavia found itself starting in 1948, specifically referring to the „Resolution of the Informbiro,“ which led to the political split between Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union.
