It is with great pleasure that we present our new online project „Guide to Numismatics”, a systematically organized online manual intended for anyone who wants to get acquainted with the world of coins, banknotes, and other numismatic items.
The guide is intended for absolute beginners just entering numismatics, as well as more experienced collectors who want to expand, refresh, or systematize their knowledge. The goal of the project is to offer clear, practical, and reliable information in one place that can be applied in everyday collecting work.
Within the scope of the project, the basics of numismatics, methods for starting and developing a collection, recognition of numismatic items, grades of preservation, rarity and valuation, proper storage and cataloging of a collection, buying and selling, the numismatic market, security, counterfeits, frauds, and numerous other important topics will be covered.
The content is divided into thematic units, and new articles will be published gradually. The advantage of the internet format is the possibility of constantly supplementing, expanding, and updating existing texts, as well as linking them with photographs, tables, examples, and other useful content.
„The ”Numismatic Guide" is conceived as a long-term project that will evolve alongside the needs of its readers. Therefore, suggestions for new topics, questions, remarks, and ideas that can help in further shaping the content are welcome.
