This video is part of a series on Dubrovnik currency where in each video we present one coin of the Republic of Dubrovnik.
The copper coin (folar, follaro) was the smallest denomination of the currency of Dubrovnik and constituted the thirtieth part of the Dubrovnik dinar. The author of the visual design of this coin was probably Nikola Pribisalić Pećar.
On the obverse of the coin is a female head facing left. Along the edge of the coin is a semicircular inscription in Latin: MONETA RAGUSII (Dubrovnik money).
On the reverse side of the coin is a depiction of a city gate with three towers. The central tower is elevated and has a pointed roof. Along the edge of the coin is a semicircular inscription in Latin: CIVITAS RAGUSII (City of Dubrovnik).
