In today's video, we are presenting a rare coin pattern from the SFR Yugoslavia, specifically the 500 dinar coin from 1987. This pattern, struck in nickel or a copper-nickel alloy, has a design reminiscent of the coins from the regular 1988/1989 series (10, 20, 50, and 100 dinars) which were struck in brass. This trial strike features a very simple and elegant design, but unfortunately it was never realized as a circulation coin.
